ENDODONTICS (Root Canal Treatment or RCT)
Endodontics, a field in dentistry that deals with the nerve that is a sensitive area of the inner portion of the tooth. Endodontics form of treatment has helped millions of patients overcome painful problems. There are several types of treatment that fall under endodontics, the most common procedure being Root Canal Treatment (RCT), also known as root filling.
 
Root Canal treatment involves removing the inflamed, infected, or necrotic nerve from inside your tooth, giving the area a careful cleaning, and then inserting a root filling material into the root where the nerve originally was. This prevents the tooth root from being exposed, protecting your jaw from a possible infection that can enter through the tooth. Endodontic procedures have evolved a great deal in the last few years. Through endodontics, it is now possible to predict, treat and save a tooth that, just years ago, would have required extraction.  With the advent of much new equipment’s into endodontics, it is now possible to go through root canal treatment almost without any pain.
